Mushroom and Ancient Forest Walk

During this mushroom walk with Josie Laing, we will be looking for and identifying mushrooms while discussing the role of fungi in forest ecosystems. Josie will also share some of her preliminary observations from the ongoing pilot study comparing ancient and post-agricultural forests. Read more here.

The walk will take place at High Falls Conservation Area (540 Roxbury Rd, Philmont), where there are a few “varieties” of ancient forest. This is a free event, but participant number is limited, so please email Josie to register.
