The Alkion Center shares the classrooms and facilities of Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School, which is embedded within, and part of, the nonprofit Hawthorne Valley Association. Hawthorne Valley’s campus is surrounded by forests and fields and includes a working 900-acre Biodynamic farm.

Hawthorne Valley Farm Store
Located just steps from the school, Hawthorne Valley Farm Store is your convenient spot for organic meals, snacks, and essentials during your programming intensive. The store offers a diverse selection of ready-to-eat foods, coffee, and locally-sourced products—perfect for fueling your learning journey. Each purchase supports the educational programs happening right here on Hawthorne Valley’s campus. The store is open daily from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Hawthorne Valley Farm
Hawthorne Valley Farm is an approximately 900-acre Demeter-certified Biodynamic® farm with dairy cows, pasture-raised beef, pork, and chicken, vegetables, a 300+ member CSA, and an organic creamery and bakery. Alkion is embedded within this picturesque farmscape. Interested students may explore the farm by visiting the dairy cows, joining the CSA, or taking a guided tour.
