Insect Ecology Walk

The Farmscape Ecology Program (FEP) entomology team is pleased to offer an Insect Ecology Walk at the Keep Conservation Foundation Preserve in Germantown as part of their recently started initiative called the Hudson Valley Center for Insect Conservation.

With worldwide alarm over insect declines, the Center aims to understand the status of insects in the Hudson Valley, inspire an appreciation for them among the public, and advocate for their conservation in our region. Insects play essential roles in ecosystems and provide important services such as pollination and pest control. We are excited to begin this new endeavor!

As part of our effort to inspire appreciation for insects among the public, Kenny, Kyle, and Laura will be leading this insect-focused walk at the Keep Conservation Foundation preserve in Germantown. Join us to learn about a variety of insects, their habitats, and why they matter. This free event is made possible by a grant from the Ackerman Foundation. Space is limited, please email Laura to register.
